• "Application": the Oko Shop application and all its pages and screens.
• "Database": the food product database used in the Application.
• "Service": evaluation and recommendation service relating to food products.
• "Publisher": the legal or natural person responsible for publishing and for the content of the Application.

2. PURPOSE
2.1 Description
The Publisher provides a set of services free of charge, aimed at:
• Providing the User with a scanning system for food products currently on sale in France, allowing access to information concerning the product.
• Providing the User, for each product, with information on the Taste, Nutritional, Environmental and Societal qualities of the scanned products.
• Providing the User, for each scanned product, with a score indicating the product's compatibility with the importance they assigned to each previously mentioned criterion at the time of registration.
• Proposing to the User products similar to the scanned product that are a closer match to the preferences indicated at the time of the User's registration.
• Proposing a search functionality to the User.
2.2 Functioning
Scanning a Product: To access a Product's information, simply scan its barcode or search for the product name in the search system. To scan a product, you must authorize the Application to access the camera, which you can do by accepting the authorization request that appears when using the scan or by going to your phone's settings.
Personalized Profile: When using the Application, the User will have the opportunity to personalize their profile. It is possible to define the importance given to each of the 4 criteria: taste, nutritional, environmental and societal by assigning them a score from 0 to 100. These scores are taken into account when calculating the personalized score. It is also possible to indicate a nickname, choose a profile picture and opt to receive the newsletter.
Non-personalized Profile: The User can choose to use the Application without creating a profile. Therefore, they will not have the opportunity to define their preference criteria to access a personalized score, and will not be able to rate or leave comments on the products.
Calculation of the personalized score: The personalized score is calculated for each product based on the product's scores multiplied by the coefficients defined by the User. This results in a score between 0 and 5.
Database: The Publisher uses a royalty-free database: Open Food Facts. This database is completed by the Publisher. It may happen that products are not referenced or that the information is incomplete or erroneous.
The data taken from the Open Food Facts database is subject to the following licenses: The Open Food Facts database is available under the Open Database License. The individual contents of the database are available under the Database Contents License. The product photos are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.
